| It does seem that perhaps I should update this page a little, and let some issues be known.
Since my return to Austria in 2005 I worked very hard to forge a partnership with the Austrian Government, and their political businesses. For one reason or another I was not successful. My efforts on Austrosearch will now be primarily custodian in nature. I believe in the original purpose for the website, it was a good thing I had done.

Austrosearch primarily is both a search engine and directory of websites relating to Austria which will eventually cover in addition the many nations that encompass what was previously known as the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The website is today complete in both German and English, while it's directory has every listing's description in both the German and English languages. Additional services such as Greeting cards, Austrian news feeds, Free hosted web pages, free web based email, round out the offerings available on the portal.
The Motivation in creating a multi lingual directory of websites for Austria.
The motivation to create what you see today came out of several things. The first reason is that Austria by joining the EU was destined to come out of it's Cold war era isolation, and again take it's traditional role as the major meeting ground of East and Western Europe. This clearly showed me the critical importance a multi-lingual directory guide for Austria clearly would be.
Austrian People, Companies, and endeavors use Austrosearch to reach out to the global marketplace.
Austrosearch lists Websites that are primarily Austrian in origin or related in one manner or another, meaning that Austrian companies have an advantage being listed in Austrosearch so as to notify the world what they have to offer and foster a future positive interaction to the rest of the global market place.
Austria the tourist destination par excellence.
The fact while Austria is a major tourist destination and thus welcoming foreign visitors presented a major opportunity for Austrosearch to take a leadership role via the Internet that empowered potential visitors to discover what Austria has to offer. This contribution allows Austrosearch to enhance and participate in the success of Austria's tourism sector.
Austrosearch is the mark of Austria's validation from Abroad.
I host the Austrosearch portals in Los Angeles, California USA for a very simple reason, to take advantage of the very competitive hardware and network resources that in Los Angeles which contrast the current high costs associated with internet connectivity and computer resources in Austria. As a result of the savings are considerable enough to have not required immediate returns on the investment taken to produce and maintain Austrosearch. Austrosearch is a long-term investment and is now only at the very beginning of a transformation into a European corporation both representing and mandating the eventual management by and of the people of whom Austrosearch represents.
